Translation of software is an overly involved process consisting of manual stripping-out of content, out-of-context translation, manual reinsertion of content, rebuilding of code, verification by QA, and further iterations/complications until complete. Our mission is twofold: to enable customers to build their product once, then deploy globally with unrivaled simplicity and ease, and to empower translators to produce high quality, maximally relevant translations for our customers’ products via our real-time, in-context translation medium.
The Colátris team was birthed in the heart of the Bay Area, with founders hailing from previous software development/ product management positions in San Francisco, Palo Alto, and Berkeley. Aggregate schooling comes from CS department at UC Berkeley and College for Information Sciences and Technology at Penn State, with special business development and entrepreneurial vigor coming from the Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology at Berkeley. A passion for problem solving, coupled with a distinctly defined problem and quantifiably inefficient system, unites the team under indisputable focus and potent drive.
